  1. How cute! Very close too. I am almost expecting you to be feeding one shortly. Out of curiosity. I assume you are pretty far out from from things. Are you pretty secluded? If so I'm jealous.

    1. The grass has been exposed longer this autumn than in recent years, which is pleasing. Food can be scarce toward the end of winter, but it's not a good idea to feed them.

      I try to be friendly regardless, but they usually just huff and show me the white side of their tails.

      I live in a rural area; lots of forest to explore right outside my door.

      It is a treat. A fox, several grouse and a couple of gray jays have been entertaining of late as well.
