I thought a fairly good winter might lead to an early spring, but April was very cold, and my hopes were dashed.
The blossoms and foliage have burst to life over the last two weeks or so, and the forest is lush once again. The growth is incredible, once it gets going; it impresses me year after year.
I never tire of looking at flowers. Or common apple and crabapple blossoms have been long gone now. Dogwoods are now nearing their peak.
