We've had the odd mild day during which a fair bit of snow has melted. Storms keep adding a new top layer, but the base has been variable. It means there's a little less around for the spring thaw, which lessens the worry of a sudden melt and flooding.
Oh, you Canadians and your snow! A picture from early last summer, perhaps? It doesn't seem deep enough to be Canadian winter snow.
