I imagine the groundhogs wonder why humans can't use their own damn shadows, or lack thereof, to assess the situation, rather than dragging them out in the middle of winter.
As for my antics in the snow, rather than consider my frosted nuts, a groundhog would likely think I'd lost my marbles.
Tomass, are you trying to bait him with nuts?
ReplyDeleteDoesn't matter for us, it's either six more weeks of winter or eight more weeks of winter!

When I was a kid I loved a game of marbles.....
ReplyDeleteI guess mine are there somewhere; the groundhog certainly wasn't.
DeleteI thought the Groundhog had replied to your Grindr and then didn't show. What an idiot.
ReplyDeleteI've encountered a few animals, but the groundhogs generally flee when they see me coming.
DeleteNow that just captures the spirit of Groundhog day! Love your playful side when it's out.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Maddie.
DeleteThe snow was perfect for play; light, dry and fluffy.
