    1. There aren't going to be any balls dropping around here unless it warms up substantially.

All the best to you, Maddie, and thank you for your support and kind words through the years.

  3. Welcoming the new year with an open mind and an open _______. I'm betting that the second option will prove to be more satisfying.

    1. An open mind leads to openings; I just hope the openings lead to someplace warm.

      Best to you in 2018.

    1. Some parts are more frost hardy than others, but generally I'm all right if I stay dry and out of the breeze.

The closest I've come to frostbite was while portraying the Arctic Caroler in Saskatchewan.

    1. Another blizzard is forecast here Thursday, so more snow for wintery pictures. I just have to find the fortitude.

Best to you in the new year, Pete; hope you're singing in that rain.

  7. OK, I know I'm being British here, and all we do is talk about the weather, but I'm getting sincerely pissed-off this winter with the bleak heavy grey skies, the driving gales, the dark mornings, the rare ray of sunlight, blackness at 3pm in the afternoons. I call this 'suicide weather, because who can find any cheer in it? Hope you find the days more bearable.
