The trunk is hollow and the chipmunk seemed almost playful dashing about inside and peeking out the various openings. Fortunately, it felt safe enough to sit still for a pose.

They're busy lining dens and storing food, but chipper nonetheless. A sweet face, but with a touch of mischief, I think.
