A Mitten Prepares for the Off-season

  1. ...super busy week....but glad to get a break and enjoy the delights of the forest!!!! ...who knows, this might be the inspiration for a forest walk myself....and perhaps similar opportunities!!! Beautiful image!!!

    1. The last of the snowpack had melted and the warmth was such that a dropped mitten (it's in the right foreground) was not an issue, and then a May snow storm (pictured in a post below this one). Most unwelcome, to say the least.

      It's raining at the moment, but sunny, springlike weather is forecast. The ground is bare once again and I anticipate the greening (and more comfortable baring).

      Thank you for your compliment; much appreciated.

      The moss and conifers always tease me to photograph after the thaw because I find the green so welcome after months of white.
