These photographs were taken a few years ago, in Saskatchewan.
There had been ice fog, and it coated everything with thick frost. That was spectacular in its own right. Then a storm moved in and snow fell, soft and fluffy, without wind (which was somewhat unusual).
The next morning frigid air descended, sharp, biting, chewing away the clouds in still silence and revealing these scenes.
I was thrilled to be there. It was one of the most breathtaking things I have ever seen.
Ah. I did wonder. It is certainly breathtaking, and I share the thrill, if only second-hand. I suspect I am nowhere near as winter-proof as you are, since I feel cold just looking at these shots. They are truly amazing images, both in their content and your craftsmanship. Thank you for posting them.
