A wet finger comes in handy to check wind direction and could be applied to the Puss and Boots sequel.
I think you get a better result if you use two or three fingers, and I'm not being catty.

I sometimes wear them on sunny days; there's more than rain can wet a fellow.

A little spit is fine if you run out of pockets (or need to get into one).I've willed our rain to head out west, but it doesn't pay any attention. Hope you're safe and conditions improve.
