I have looked and looked in my nature guides and cannot seem to locate that particular spiky fungi... It looks edible. Is it delicious? And what is it's name?
I know you enjoy research, but I don't think you'll find success in the Fungi Kingdom, whether 'spiky' or spooky (as the season might suggest). It resembles Witch's Hair, but how that would get there, I don't know.
...elegant offering....exquisitely poised in the rich forest scene....fantasies of my tongue savoring those delicacies from bottom to top race through my head...

DeleteI love these shots of you in these hard to get places...and what a nice tree bare..... Just hold it right there.
ReplyDeleteIt's not too hard to get in there; you just have to approach from the right angle.

ReplyDeleteOne of my favourite spots, with a lot more sunlight finding its way through this time of year, so the 'delicacies' are warmed.
