The Fern Mutiny

  1. You know I love this shot. I would love to come across this in a fernery! I had quite the view from my pop up camper of a nice wooded area covered in fern when in the Poconos. They are looking much like yours in color.

    1. Ferns always please my eye, graceful, peaceful even in the wind. I think of you when I see them.

  2. I believe you’ve done something that is very difficult to do. You’ve managed to integrate your body into the landscape in a way that is so natural, organic and beautiful.

    1. Thanks surfstud.

When I find a pretty spot, I try to settle into it disturbing as little as possible. There's a slowing of things, a softening of guard. Pretense exhaled, I just feel natural. I'm pleased you sensed that in this picture.

    1. Thanks Luke.

The ferns looked ready to flog me, but it would have been a pleasure with their feathery fronds.

  4. Such a pretty time of year. You walk among the trees and you just never know what kind of beauty you may discover. Sigh... can you tell me how to get to Open Sesame Street?

    1. Should you open the cave, and be looking for guidance from other tales, it's not the lantern you rub. And be sure you get there before the forty thieves.
