Meanwhile the red bellied woodpecker here would love all those trees. He has been very rascally today...pecking on the drain pipes and guttering all day, and chasing other birds. Fun to watch, but I require a pecker of a different sort.

There are lots of woodpeckers around here, including pileated woodpeckers, which make me think of pterodactyls.
