    1. But what of the pretty puffs perched on the bushes?

  2. I only see the rare snowbird perched on the branches. Lovely snow shot. but snow already?!? It's still very mild here.

    1. Yes, our first significant snowfall of the season. Sigh. It was of the crappy wet and heavy variety, so it was more like soggy clumps in the bushes, but I thought 'puffs' was more poetic.

  3. Another fine set of images....admire your ability to handle the cold...the California boy in me gets shivers easily in imagining the set up and "exposure "! :-)

    1. Hi Luke.

I'm sometimes reluctant to bare my skin to winter's breath, but once my juices get flowing (providing they don't freeze) I warm to my play (at least until parts begin to go numb).

It's not easy to stay dry in this type of snow, and getting wet exacerbates the cold. I much prefer the dry fluffy snow we get when it is colder.

    2. Love the response! ...just hope there's a nice place nearby to warm those parts when they start getting numb! ....if I was nearby I could offer a suggestion or two! LOL!

    3. You mean, besides a stoked woodstove and a hot shower, there are other ways to warm my fingers?
