Wow these three shots are frakking amazing! You have to view the larger sizes to really take in their effect. The third picture is almost surreal, the clouds look 3D. You really live in one amazing place. I admit I'm a bit jealous, but happy that you take the time to create all of these shots for the rest of us.
Our western sky is generous and mischievous, sometimes waiting until the last possible moment to share its fiery soul. This inevitably precipitates a mad dash to don my mosquito gear and rush outside - always with the hope that I just might capture "the" sunset photograph.
The light is rich, the softness of power mastered, power to make thunderheads blush at their bluster, strength so gentle it awakens the stars and makes the night unafraid of its blackness.
